My Experience

  • Attorney focused on Probate Law in Russell County, (guardianships, conservatorships, estate planning, Wills, Real estate contracts and Deeds).
  • Assigned and Performed as Special Probate Judge in Russell County, AL (when current Probate Judge is absent, I sit on the bench and fill in). 
  • Assigned as Guardian Ad Litem for Russell County Probate Courthouse Probate Clients (Defense attorney for mental health patients).
  • Expert in PTSD and VA (Veterans Affairs) commitment and guardianship cases.
  • Certified Mediator specializing in Family law, Land, commercial contracts, residential contracts and estate disputes.
  • Audited 250+ Probate court cases in person 3-4 days a week over the past year including numerous Adoptions.
  • Interned for Russell County Probate Judge throughout law school (3 years) - trained in all areas of the Probate Office from licenses to adoptions.
  • Worked for Chancey and Cooley Law firm in Phenix City, Russell County, Al (Real Estate Closings, Probate Wills/Estates and Personal Injury cases)
  • Spent over a year doing test studies and interviews in the field with the Russell County Child Advocacy Center, school counselors, social workers, foster care families and homeless and indigent individuals throughout Russell County while completing my dissertation for my Doctorate. Currently continuing the research while preparing for publication.  
  • Worked on Captial Murder cases with Law firm in Montgomery, AL (Capital murder and life in prison clients and selection of jurors for trial)
  • Recognized as a forensics expert in ballistics for criminal trials
  • Volunteered/Pro Bono at the Family Violence Clinic (The One Place) entailed intake of women and children being physically and mentally abused directly after the assault has occurred. Prepared all emergency legal documents and found placement in temporary lodging.
  • Volunteered/Pro Bono at the Elder Law Clinic working with seniors, mentally incapacitated, Dementia and Alzheimer's patients on guardianships, conservatorships, wills and estate planning.
  • Completed numerous Divorces, Protection from Abuse Orders, Temporary Restraining Orders and other areas of Family Law at One Place.
  • Worked for Robert Treese, District Attorney, Opelika, AL while attending Auburn University (focused on Discovery evidence and case file preparation for prosecutors in preparation for Grand Jury.
  • Field Engineer and site Team Leader for General Dynamics an International Defense Corporation
  • Certified Government Contracting Officer - wrote multi-million-dollar contracts between governmental organizations and civilian corporations
  • 6 Certifications through FEMA/Homeland Security for Emergency Management
  • 21 years in the military. The last 11 years as a Chief Warrant Officer - Communications and Information Technolgy Expert
